The first year focuses on developing the skills and knowledge a modern actor needs for work on the stage and in the studio; there is a strong emphasis on movement and voice; as well as appearing on stage and screen, students learn the arts of filming and editing; the second year programme includes a full scale production, with modules developing a broad range of performance skills including musical theatre and physical theatre; the third year is focused on getting students ready for work in the industry with the final production and a module in professional practice; students also undertake a project which ensures that students leave the course with a marketable professional piece of work of their own.
