Course explores the dynamic between fine art and design practice, uniting essential concepts and philosophies to provide an interdisciplinary arena for visual enquiry; aims to break down the boundaries between subject areas and to challenge and question traditional approaches; emphasises the significance of individuality and enables students to construct their own unique visual practice, by developing the appropriate skills and knowledge; studio and workshop activities are supported by contextual modules, which promote an understanding of the historical, theoretical and cultural background to fine art and design practice; application deadline: March 2010.
