Our aim in training is to strike a balance between the interests of the individual trainee, formal professional training requirements, academic requirements appropriate for a doctoral level qualification, and the broader and developing needs of a clinical psychologist within the National Health Service. Placements, academic assignments and detailed research supervision are spread across the three years of training and these provide an excellent grounding for individual development. Support is extensive across all aspects of the programme, with innovative placements, a strong publication culture and the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the programme’s development some of the outstanding features of this training experience.
