Entry requirements: Normally the MRes in Money, Banking and Finance, or a Masters degree in Economics plus a viable research proposal. Overseas applicants may be required to take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT). IELTS: 7.0 or equivalent (minimum element scores apply).

Lancaster's Department of Economics offers an active and stimulating research environment in which PhD students play an important part. As a PhD student in the Department you will be working within a high-quality research-active environment and a Top-10 UK university with a world-class reputation for excellence in teaching and research. Study is possible on a full- or part-time basis, and we currently supervise around 20 students on our MPhil/PhD programme in Economics. PhD students form an integral part of the research environment and participate fully in departmental activities. Research is organised under five major areas: • Experimental economics • Industrial organisation and economic theory • Labour, education and health economics • Macroeconomics and financial markets • Political economy and international trade

Расположение
