Year 1: Students will explore the various aspects of digital media, and will start to establish how they might want to specialise during their second year; modules include: communication design for print and digital media, animation principles and techniques, fundamentals of interactive design, digital video production, digital cultures and technologies, critical studies, personal and professional development, and one elective. Year 2: Will involve enterprise and innovation studies and students are also encouraged to undertake work placement, helping to understand the issues associated with working in industry, setting up their own company, or working as a freelance designer; it will also assist in personal and professional development; modules include: visual effects and motion graphics, moving image, critical studies, enterprise and innovation, interactive design 2, personal and professional development, major project, and one elective. Year 3: Modules include: professional practice, digital media development, a dissertation and a final major project.
