Students learn about how great writers have used words, from Shakespeare to Toni Morrison; how to analyse the way modern media organisations combine words, images and technology to such powerful effect; and how to use words more effectively in their own writing and critical thinking; students get an introduction to using media production equipment, and the chance to specialise in a particular area of production; there are 2 media-related work placements, giving students the chance to put their skills into practice, gain experience and make contacts which can help them build your future career.
