Working with published writers and subject specialists, the course covers learning to communicate and create for both professional purposes and pleasure as a broad range of creative and non-fiction writing is explored; at the same time, students develop knowledge of writing in English from its earliest roots to its 21st century branches; there is career planning throughout and a period of professional work experience with an outside employer in the second year.
