Consists of 6 taught (blocks) component covering 2 academic semesters during which applicants attend lectures, tutorials, guest speaker events and workshops coupled with directed reading; successful completion of the taught component allows applicants to move onto the dissertation stage, where they are required to write a 15,000 word research based dissertation on a subject in which they have developed an interest during the programme.

A recognised University degree in any subject; those who hold professional accredited qualifications and have relevant experience are also encouraged to apply; other professional qualification can also apply for exemptions; overseas students must provide evidence of a level of English ability equivalent to 6.0 IELTS achieved within the past 24 months; students whose level is slightly below this may be able to join the programme after successful completion of a summer English course; exceptionally delegates with relevant work experience, at an appropriate level of responsibility, may be admitted to the programme without the qualifications specified above at the discretion of the admissions panel.

This course is designed for those wishing to explore critical duties and responsibilities of director’s working in private and public limited companies; the programme critically considers the dynamics of how businesses are ethically governed balanced to the needs of high business performance and the demands of financial markets; it evaluates how leaders lead and focuses on the critical role of the board at establishing the vision and values of the organisation across a group.

Расположение

LJMU – процветающий, оживленный университет, расположенный в центре города Ливерпуль. Университету принадлежат три кампуса: кампусы City и Mount Pleasant, расположенные в центре Ливерпуля и кампус IM Marsh, расположенный приблизительно в 6,4 км (4 милях) к югу от центра города. В городе Ливерпуль хорошо развита система общественного транспорта (паромы, такси, автобусы и метро). По территории LJMU курсирует бесплатный маршрутный автобус, на котором можно перемещаться между корпусам Университета.
