1st degree; plus a qualification in learning and teaching in post-compulsory education such as the PGCert in learning and teaching or similar; plus experience of learning and teaching in post-compulsory education, minimum 3 years and preferably more.

The course offers the opportunity for those working in the post-compulsory education sector, who have already achieved a PGCE (or its equivalent), to progress within their professional roles; additionally participants can, if they choose, take the units as stand-alone for continuing professional development purposes; this programme aims to develop participants’ informed and critical awareness of the impact on their educational practice of embedding the values of diversity, equality and local and global sustainability; participants are encouraged to develop their critical and reflective practice as educators.
