The City Design and Development (CDD) group is concerned with the physical planning of urban territories and their natural environments, from city cores to the outer suburbs. Graduates work in a variety of private, public, and nonprofit roles: as urban designers; planning and design consultants; municipal and regional planners; managers of public agencies; advocates of historic and landscape preservation, housing, and land use regulations; real estate development; and as planners of transportation and mobility systems.
