Mathematics (minimum of precalculus), Chemistry and physics - at the high school level. Applicants are reviewed on their high school transcript with particular emphasis on yearly averages and results in prerequisite subjects. Prerequisite subjects must have been completed during the last two years of high school.The minimum requirement is the equivalent of a B+ average, and B+ in prerequisite subjects. IELTS 6.5.

The discipline of chemical engineering is distinctive in being based equally on physics, mathematics, and chemistry. Application of these three fundamental sciences is basic to a quantitative understanding of the process industries. Those with an interest in the fourth fundamental science, biology, will find several courses in the chemical engineering curriculum that integrate aspects of the biological sciences relevant to process industries such as food processing, fermentation, biomedical, and water pollution control.
