Year 2: Media, image, power; theory and popular cinema; body, identity and society; documentary and experimental film (theory and practice); issues in film history; screenwriting the short film; travelling cultures (hybridity and globalisation). Year 3: Contemporary theoretical perspectives; culture, consumption and identity; documentary and experimental film (theory and practice); film and the cultural sector; media practices; dissertations.

This course aims to develop powers of critical understanding of different media and their impact in constructing contemporary cultures, both local and global; specific ways in which different media communicate meaning and create effect are studied both in theoretical and practical work, particularly in film studies component; the importance of media in shaping and reflecting personal identity is also a key focus.

Расположение

Пять кампусов располагаются в Северном Лондоне. Главный кампус, Хендон, находится на расстоянии небольшой поездки на метро от центрального Лондона и Камден Тауна. Другие кампусы, находящиеся в Лондоне: Cat Hill (Кэт Хилл), Trent Park (Трент Парк), Enfield (Энфилд), Archway (Арчуэй) и больницы.
