Semester 1: Applied mathematics for engineers; manufacturing processes and materials; computer-aided engineering; validation of design concept; design development project; semester 2: 12-week industrial placement; semester 3: industrial research project and 15,000-word dissertation and viva voce presentation, based on the project work gained through the placement.

Applicants must have a design background'; 2.1 or above Honours degree in a 3-dimensional design discipline; keen interest in technology, engineering and manufacturing; be numerate and enjoy tackling proactive and self-motivated; and enjoy working in a team and thinking as an individual.

This programme was launched with support from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) to help meet industry demand; an industrial placement module and a strong commitment from over 100 employers gives the student the opportunity to gain confidence in an industrial setting; The course begins with a compulsory 1-week introduction to engineering module; 3 of the taught modules take place as consecutive intensive courses over a 9-week period; the other 2 have been designed to run over 12 weeks.

Расположение

Пять кампусов располагаются в Северном Лондоне. Главный кампус, Хендон, находится на расстоянии небольшой поездки на метро от центрального Лондона и Камден Тауна. Другие кампусы, находящиеся в Лондоне: Cat Hill (Кэт Хилл), Trent Park (Трент Парк), Enfield (Энфилд), Archway (Арчуэй) и больницы.
