This award is designed to be applicable to staff undertaking a wide range of management or supervisory roles within the health and social care sector; candidates should have supervisory or management responsibility for other staff or a high degree of autonomy in developing individual service responses to assessed client needs; TOPSS requirements state that to meet national minimum standards, all registered care homes should have a Registered Manger who has a relevant care qualification at level 4 and has a registered managers award; this course fulfils the occupational competence qualification requirements and so it is suitable for managers in registered care settings who do not already possess a higher level care qualification and for supervisory staff seeking a higher level qualification, who are working at a relevant level.
