Students take compulsory modules (90 credits), optional modules (30 credits); modules typically include: Understanding and managing creativity; arts and enterprise; finance and financing for entrepreneurs; marketing and promotion for the creative industries; and research methods; an extended individual project is also undertaken (60 credits); in some cases the project may be sponsored by an external organisation.

Normally a 2:1 Honours degree or international equivalent preferably in a subject that provides a basis for an involvement in the creative industries; applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5, TOEFL 90 (internet-based), 577 (paper-based) or 233 (computer-based), or equivalent.
