Graduate Diploma in Translating; for advanced MA entry students should have: 2:1 Honours degree or equivalent GPA in translating or interpreting with satisfactory marks in: interpreting; translating; and the 2nd working language; or substantial professional experience; applicants have expert 2nd-language knowledge; for non-native speakers of English IELTS 7.5 with no less than 7.0 in all sub-skills is required; no alternative is accepted; interview.

The course concentrates on translation and interpretation as an academic subject using English and either Chinese or Japanese; provides students with substantial theoretical knowledge to develop an interest in the field of translating and/or interpreting as a topic of academic study and research; part of the 2-year postgraduate programme in translating and interpreting.
