Master's students complete compulsory modules (100 credits) and a dissertation (80 credits); diploma students complete compulsory modules (80 credits) and a 40-credit project and dissertation; compulsory modules cover: research methods for engineering; characteristics and baseline reporting; foundation design; geomechanics; slopes and walls; soil modelling and numerical methods; ground improvement techniques; contaminated land; Master's students also take modules in rock engineering and groundwater assessment.

Вступительные требования

A 2:1 Honours degree, or international equivalent, in civil engineering or geology; other relevant degree subjects are considered, as is work experience; applicants whose 1st language is not English normally require IELTS 6.5, TOEFL 90 (internet-based), 577 (paper-based), or equivalent.
