Compulsory modules typically include: Mechatronics; sensors and actuators; robotics; distributed control systems; microprocessor systems; methods in industrial research and development; research project with either an electronic or mechanical engineering emphasis; optional modules are available in a wide range of areas including: industrial automation; automatic control; mechanical power transmissions; high-performance embedded systems.

2:1 Honours degree or equivalent in mechanical or electrical and electronic engineering or other relevant subjects; applications are considered on an individual basis; applicants with a lower degree classification are considered; where 1st language is not English IELTS 6.5; TOEFL 90 (Internet-based) or 577 (paper-based); or equivalent are required.
