The course is aimed at those wishing to develop a career as a professional counselor; those wanting to enhance their current practice; those wishing to develop academic and research skills and work towards professional accreditation; the course is built around a coherent integrative model that is informed by current research and by developments in the professional requirements for counsellors in the UK; the course provides both professional and academic training, producing reflective practitioners who are equipped to meet the future challenges in counseling; this course is structured to support applications for individual accreditation with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and subscribes to the BACP Ethical Framework.
