Level 1: in the first semester of level one, students are introduced to the design for publishing specialism and also undertake relevant projects from two other courses. Level 2: course will see students developing their understanding of design for publishing, learning the skills, attitudes and approach to design practice necessary to achieve success in the industry; the work is project-based and may include live briefs and the opportunity for collaborative work with students from other courses; this level also features the possibility to undertake a work placement, either locally or nationally, working in book and magazine publishing houses and graphic design studios Level 3: the final specialist phase of the course enables students to develop creative and intellectual skills whilst making informed decisions about career pathways or the possibilities of postgraduate education.
