The consortium provides training to give graduates the opportunity to acquire: Excellent professional attributes; good subject knowledge; well-developed skills in teaching and learning; those trained on this route are full-time employees of their host school and as such are expected to be able to maintain a higher level of responsibility within the classroom than might be expected of a ‘traditional’ postgraduate trainee; the course is therefore very intensive and students are special individuals with quite extensive successful experience in schools to make the most of its opportunities.
