A degree in a related discipline at Upper 2nd Class Honours or above; or an equivalent recognised international qualification in a related discipline; applications from candidates without standard qualifications may be considered on the basis of prior learning, provided they can demonstrate that they have the necessary experience and the ability to benefit from and succeed on the Master's programme; IELTS score of a minimum of 7 or equivalent, which has been achieved within the last 18 months prior to commencement of the course.

Focussing on developing students’ understanding of professional practice in the fashion industry, the course draws together personal creativity, new models of innovation and commercial reality; it pushes the boundaries of traditional fashion design and encourages a collaborative, co-creative approach between disciplines and sectors; a key element to the course in the international business study block in Paris, where students through lectures and case studies study directional approaches to marketing, finance, distribution and retail; this Paris-based experience provides a comprehensive understanding and awareness of fashion as an international business and uses design as a business strategy; students explore the globalisation of fashion, investigating the trends, strengths, identities and unique characteristics of both existing and emerging markets.
