Module delivery will be achieved through a range of theoretical lectures, specialist guest speakers, practical work and investigative research; opportunities to visit animal industry specific establishments, conferences and meetings will also take place. Year 1: animal handling - theory and practice; animal behaviour; zoos and exotics; animal welfare issues; animal physiology and genetics. Years 2 and 3: behaviour ecology; field ecology; animal health; conservation and environmental management; current research in animal behaviour and welfare; environmental impact assessment.
