Rice MAcc students come with undergraduate degrees in areas as diverse as Economics, Engineering, English, Finance, Music Performance, Psychology, Sociology, and Sport Management! All Rice undergraduate majors, and non-accounting undergraduate majors from other universities, can be a good fit for the MAcc. (Please note: due to the design of the Rice MAcc, candidates with a bachelor’s degree in accounting are not eligible for admission.) Because we invite applications from students from varied academic backgrounds, we do not specify a minimum GPA. We evaluate applications in their entirety, searching for strengths in all areas. Applicants whose native language is not English must also take either the TOEFL or IELTS test and must score at least 90 on the internet-based TOEFL. For those students who choose to take the IELTS in lieu of TOEFL, the minimum score is 7.

Расположение

Houston has two airports: William P. Hobby (HOU), 11 miles to the south of campus and George Bush Intercontinental (IAH), 24 miles to the north. Intercontinental is a hub of global travel. Hobby is a hub for regional, domestic travel. Together they offer 1,000 flights a day in and out of Houston.

Most major rental car companies have locations at both airports. SuperShuttle and taxis provide ground transportation services from both airports.

The Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County, (METRO) provides bus and rail service from destinations around Houston. There is a METRORail stop across the street from the main entrance of the Rice campus. The rail line travels up and down Main Street, serving downtown, the Texas Medical Center and Reliant Park.
