An undergraduate honours degree in pharmacy from a UK university, or overseas equivalent, and 1 year post-registration experience or in consultation with the course leader; overseas students are required to demonstrate proficiency in the English language; the following qualifications are acceptable as evidence: IELTS overall band score of 6.5 or better; TOEFL score of 570 or better (230 or better on computer-based TOEFL).

This is a part-time, distance e-learning course delivered online via the University’s virtual learning environment; it provides considerable flexibility for learners, enabling busy practitioners to undertake the programme from home or their workplace; it is facilitated by a mentoring scheme that utilises university academic staff and a network of specialist practitioner e-tutors; short compulsory residential periods are incorporated to enable the development and assessment of skills in relation to care planning and health services research; each module is divided into sections which have been designed to facilitate short study periods; it provides students with a broad education in clinical pharmacy, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to enhance their career and to acquire the cognitive, interpersonal, psychomotor and analytical skills necessary for competent, reflective practice and lifelong professional development for their working life.
