Minimum at least an upper 2nd Class Honours degree (or equivalent) in Economics; whilst applicants without a 1st degree in Economics may be admitted to the Diploma in Economics in the 1st instance for subsequent admission to this course (upon satisfactory completion of the Diploma).

Students on the MSc Economics with reference to the Middle East will complete courses on: macro; micro; quantitative methods and growth; in addition students must complete 2 courses dedicated to the study of the economics of the Middle East and north Africa (MENA); together with an optional module and a dissertation in applied economics (with a focus on one or more countries of the Middle East).
