Semester 1: pictorial art (painting and prints); decorative arts (ceramics; bronze; jades); lacquer; East Asian art after 1850; trade art; Asian art markets. Semester 2: subject areas as above plus options in the following: trade art; contemporary art in Asia; emerging art markets. Semester 3: dissertation.

This programme concentrates on the art history of China, Japan and Korea and is designed for those who wish to become Asian art specialists with knowledge of gallery, auction house and art market practices; lectures and seminars are organised in 3 tracks: ritual and religious art; decorative art; and pictorial art; handling sessions and fieldwork include visits to major collections in Europe and a field trip to China;
