The course shares a common 1st year with the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) product design and the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) product design with marketing courses; the decision to follow this particular course is made at the end of year 1; design projects run through all 3 years; other topics include: Year 1: Business orientation; drawing and making skills. Year 2: Marketing; packaging and point-of-sale; manufacturing techniques and materials; ergonomics and 3-dimensional design software. Year 3: Major design project.
