This course aims to provide students with the necessary technical and management skills to work in media production; students learn the skills required for shooting in a studio, going out on location and setting up multi-camera events; there is a high level of practical learning, with live projects for clients, coupled with relevant academic theories; students are guided and advised on how to work for real clients on video productions, and the growing area of event productions; they are taught valuable skills in research, the development of ideas and presenting proposals; their video production skills, including range of formats, styles of work and professional techniques, develop alongside business and management skills in terms of negotiating with clients, producing schedules and working to time frames.
