This one year programme provides a nationally recognised qualification for those who have a teaching role with few responsibilities or those intending to seek such a role; the course develops knowledge and understanding of the four main stages of teaching: assessment of learning needs, design of learning experiences, implementation, and evaluation, all set within the context of the lifelong learning sector; candidates are required to complete a minimum of 30 hours teaching practice some of which will be assessed.
