Programme provides an opportunity for the continuing professional development of qualified teachers working in the field of teaching adult literacy in the post-compulsory sector (further and adult education); the course has been endorsed by (SVUK) standards verification UK as meeting the level 5 subject specifications for teachers of adult literacy; this is now the mandatory minimum professional requirement for all adult literacy teachers involved in the delivery of literacy courses and qualifications from entry level to level 2 (including GCSE English).
