This course is studied on a part-time basis; part 1 modules are taught for 1 day a week over the 1st 2 years, and the part 2 dissertation is completed by 15th October of the 3rd year; the modules are: Clinical portfolio 1a; clinical supervision; research, information and knowledge development; clinical decision making; infection control theory; infection control strategy, policy and practice; clinical portfolio 1b.

Вступительные требования

An appropriate degree or its equivalent (preferably 2:2 or above) and evidence of recent academic study; also registration as first level health care professional with good portfolio; alternatively at least two years' experience as first level health care professional with good portfolio. Please note that because of the clinical nature of this course, you will need to be working in clinical practice.

Learning, developing and enhancing infection control research and practice is key to this programme; students learn how to approach the subject critically, evaluating and promoting progressive practices and sound patient care in their work place; this course is for qualified health care professionals who work with infection risks and communicable disease; as well as those who would like to widen their knowledge and develop their practice in infection control and public health; this course is taught at St David's Park, our campus at Carmarthen.
