A Pathway program provides academic, language and cultural support in order to succeed at a US university. Students are guaranteed progression to a graduate degree program through curriculum consisting of credit-earning courses. 

The Graduate Pathway in Biology offers you the chance to enhance your English and academic ability. It will prepare you to successfully pursue graduate studies at University of South Florida.

You are guaranteed admission to the Master of Science in Biology program at USF after successfully completing the Graduate Pathway in Biology and meeting all progression requirements.

You can choose from three areas of concentration, allowing you to focus your studies based on your interests:

  •   Ecology and evolution

  •   Environmental and ecological microbiology

  •   Physiology and morphology

Students enrolled in a degree program in biology can work alongside USF's award-winning faculty in a variety of research areas including marine biology, biomechanics, microbiology, environmental conservation, ecology, ecoimmunological theory, and genetics.
