The degree is modular and students are required to pass each module to gain enough credits to continue on to the next level and obtain their degree; for those students who wish to supplement their academic studies with work experience, there are opportunities to undertake work placements within design studios, publishers and advertising agencies.

This course allows students to produce highly original and innovative work; it gives the student an opportunity to produce a wide range of practical assignments that develop conceptual thinking and experimental solutions in editorial, informational, packaging and advertising design; in the 2nd and 3rd years students are encouraged to enter national student competitions; regular field trips are organised to London and European cities such as Barcelona, Paris, Amsterdam, Valencia and Berlin; application deadline: March 2010.
