Level 1: Anatomy and physiology; physiological measurement; aetiology of disease; introduction to biochemistry and nutrition; science skills; diversity of life; introduction to biomechanics; industry project (for those in the workplace). Level 2: Research methods and statistics; applied nutrition; applied biochemistry; disease and diagnosis; physiology and genetics; food quality and safety; work experience; industry project 2 (for those in the workplace). Level 3: Dissertation; therapeutics; contemporary issues in nutrition; health promotion and epidemiology; human health and the environment; human ecology and development; special study.

Course looks at the physiological and biochemical aspects of nutrition and health; explores the causes and physiology of disease and considers ways in which human health can be improved. Level 1: Emphasis on knowledge of the principles that form the foundation of work in nutrition and health, while developing practical skills through lectures and practicals.
