Year 2: creative applications of digital video (10 credits); intermedia performance: creative digital audio techniques (40 credits); music for the internet and multimedia (10 credits); music and the moving image (20 credits); performance and technology 2 (20 credits); electroacoustic composition (10 credits); aesthetics in contemporary composition (10 credits). Year 3: dissertation (40 credits); long study: composition/performance pathway (30 credits); professional practice (20 credits); intermedia performance project (30 credits).

This new degree offers a contemporary approach to the study of music at degree level, with the aim of embracing and celebrating the diversity of new music in today's culture; students are encouraged to develop their creative music talents, exploring innovative and experimental composition and performance alongside the use of new digital technologies and within an interdisciplinary context; in addition to modules studied the student has the opportunity to undertake Apple and Digidesign training in Logic 7 and Protools.
