Provides a foundation of knowledge and understanding with regard to intellectual traditions, theoretical perspectives and debates in a range of social science disciplines; in the 1st 2 years this understanding is applied to important areas such as criminology, social policy and health studies; in Year 3 students have a greater opportunity to pursue their interests through a range of options; the majority of the course takes place at the University Centre Hastings, but it may be necessary for students to travel to the Falmer campus for some of the optional modules.
