The primary objective of the Master of Science in Finance is to provide individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to make an immediate impact as analysts within the various realms of finance and thus advance their careers. The program is open to both business and non-business undergraduates and equips them with tools, ideas and frameworks to excel in early-stage finance jobs. Our MSF curriculum is designed to offer a comprehensive foundation in finance and flexibility to pursue individual interests. Core courses in accounting, economics, finance and quantitative analysis are supplemented with courses on the role of finance in corporations, investment analysis and portfolio theory, and forecasting and risk. Students can personalize their degrees with elective courses on such topics as real estate, mergers and acquisitions, and hedge funds. All courses will be taught on the University of Southern California campus by the Marshall School of Business’ award-winning teachers, scholars and practitioners.

Located in the heart of Los Angeles, USC’s University Park campus is part of the city’s Downtown Arts and Education Corridor and is home to the USC Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences and many professional schools. The Health Sciences campus, northeast of downtown Los Angeles, is home to the Keck School of Medicine of USC, the School of Pharmacy, three major teaching hospitals, and programs in Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy and in Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy. USC also has programs and centers in Marina Del Rey, Orange County, Sacramento, Washington, D.C., Catalina Island, Alhambra and around Southern California. Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, staffed by USC faculty from the Keck School of Medicine, is often referred to as USC’s third campus.
