Students learn about the different functional areas such as accounting, human resource management and marketing, and the course structure allows you to focus on a particular area of interest if students wish; emphasis is placed on helping students to identify and develop the skills needed to be successful in business so students won't find that they are writing many essays; instead students are asked to produce business plans and market analyses and get involved in role plays and simulations; because they need to be an excellent communicator in just about every business situation, emphasis is presentations and group work; there are great opportunities for studying abroad in North America or Europe (our partner institutions on the EU run business courses in English) for 1 or 2 semesters and encourage students to complete a 1-year placement in the third year of the programme.
