This course involves students in spatial design problems, providing them with opportunities to create exciting and dynamically innovative interior environments; the programme involves students in a multi-disciplinary context, introducing them to contemporary design concepts as well as the necessary technological and organisational skills; participants investigate: space-planning; composition; material properties; structure; environmental control and sustainability; they are encouraged from early in the programme to take ownership of their creativity and its outcomes, while at the same time developing an understanding of the contexts that affect interior architecture; visits are a vital and integral part of the course along with attendance at special key lectures delivered by experienced practitioners in the field.
