The following modules are studied within this course: Fibre fundamentals; technical textiles; geosynthetics; research methods in advanced materials; individual project work is undertaken within the participants’ company wherever possible, ensuring both the relevance to the employer, access to appropriate facilities, and allowing sufficient time to be spent on the practical work; alternatively, projects could be based and carried out at the University.

For short-course element no formal qualifications are required; Honours degree or equivalent; mature applicants welcome; applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5 or equivalent; interview.
