The course has been specifically designed to offer a route onto degree courses; it is appropriate for students if they have not gained the results they were expecting, if they feel they are not ready for degree-level study yet, or are returning to study and feel they need some help to get up to speed with the demands of learning before embarking on a degree; at this introductory level, as well as their chosen subject areas, students study a range of core modules; these are modules that all students must study and they find them essential for the successful completion of the course.
