Years 1 and 2: Students are taught a combination of important business topics such as economics, information technology, business law, marketing and human resource management, along with financial modules such as financial and management accounting, quantitative methods and financial management; the personal development module is an important element in developing key business and learning skills. Final year: students take a further 3 specialist financial modules.

This course is designed for students wishing to pursue a business career in which sound numeracy and a detailed knowledge of financial subjects are required; opportunities for graduates are likely to be in the finance departments of commercial companies, in banking, consultancies, other financial institutions and the City; graduates may be eligible to gain exemptions from the foundation/preliminary stages of professional accountancy bodies such as the ACCA, CIMA and ICAEW.
