Students explore the transformation of existing places and environments through design practices and representations focusing on human occupation and habitation; the course aims to develop spatial insights and conceptual ideas and combine these with making spaces and places that have a material reality; the course encourages students to become independent thinkers and designers, able to satisfy the practical needs and aspirations of clients and users and to engage with wider cultural and societal aspirations.
