The breadth of study prepares students for employment in any area of the pharmaceutical profession; emphasis is placed on developing specialist drug experts who can liaise effectively between physician and patient; the MPharm qualification is the only UK degree acceptable for registration with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain; pharmaceutical sciences deals with the chemical and physical sciences fundamental to pharmacy; consideration is given to the design and/or discovery of medicinal substances, their properties, formulation, manufacture and quality assurance; biological sciences integrates the disciplines of physiology, pharmacology, clinical pharmacy, microbiology and immunology; clinical studies enable students to integrate the biological and pharmaceutical sciences with professional subjects for application in clinical situations; much of the teaching in the later stages is conducted in the clinical environment of local hospitals.

Расположение

Располагаясь в Брайтоне и Истборне, Университет предлагает прямое железнодорожное сообщение с Лондоном и отличный автобусный сервис. Также многие студенты пользуются велосипедами. Важным аспектом является дружеская атмосфера университета, в которой и протекает активная общественная жизнь: походы по клубы, пабам, ресторанам, кинотеатрам и, конечно же, отдых на пляже. Кампусы, расположенные в Брайтоне и Истборне разделяет великолепный пляж с изумительным прибрежным ландшафтом и возвышенность South Downs.
