Вступительные требования

An excellent degree equivalent to a UK Bachelor's degree with Honours in mathematics, physics, or other science or engineering discipline with a very high mathematics content; for non-UK students: a very high standard in a degree course of equivalent level to a UK Bachelor's degree with Honours; in most countries this is a 1st degree but from some countries a Master's level degree may be required; the minimum standard required is normally a very good 1st degree, which translates in most countries into 'A' grades (from the USA a CGPA of 3.7/4.0 is expected); plus a fluent command of the English language, documented, for those whose 1st language is not English, by an IELTS or TOEFL test, including the Test of Written English.

The course is a research degree for students with a strong quantitative orientation. The programme is specifically designed for students who wish to do a PhD and subsequently pursue a career as a business school academic; management science is is a cross-functional discipline that is concerned with the study of the complex systems in place in industry, commerce, or the public sector; the discipline is largely defined through the use of mathematical, statistical and computational modelling as its primary methodology to gain insight into the operation of systems and achieve improvements in them; applications of management science are wide-spread across business functions, ranging from finance to marketing, from strategy to operations, and across industries and the public sector.
