Results of the SAT or ACT examination will be required with writing. Secondary school GPA. Specific high school course units are required for admission as a first-year student (an academic unit is a non-remedial, year-long course):
4 units of English (at least three with substantial writing requirements)
4 units of mathematics (Algebra I and above)
3 units of natural science (at least two with laboratory)
3 units of social studies
2 sequential units of the same world language
2 elective units, preferably from English, mathematics, natural science, social studies, or world language areas.

The Legal Studies Program provides students with a broad understanding of basic principles of law and the role and function of the legal system. While no specific major is prescribed for admission to law school, many pre-law students elect to major in legal studies. The legal studies program, in addition to preparing students for law-related careers, provides a foundation for law school or other graduate education.
