TOEFL Scores Internet: 80 Computer: 213 Paper: 550 Results of the SAT or ACT examination will be required with writing. Secondary school GPA. Specific high school course units are required for admission as a first-year student (an academic unit is a non-remedial, year-long course): 4 units of English (at least three with substantial writing requirements) 4 units of mathematics (Algebra I and above) 3 units of natural science (at least two with laboratory) 3 units of social studies 2 sequential units of the same world language 2 elective units, preferably from English, mathematics, natural science, social studies, or world language areas

The undergraduate degree program in chemistry is accredited by the American Chemical Society Committee on Professional Training. It prepares the graduate for career opportunities in the chemical or related industries, or in government laboratories. The program also prepares students for further study at the graduate level in chemistry or in a related area such as pharmacology or toxicology. With an appropriate choice of electives it also constitutes excellent preparation for the professional schools of dentistry, medicine, and veterinary medicine.
