This course is designed for those applicants without science A-levels who would like to pursue a degree in electronic engineering; the course aims to create awareness of the fascination and excitement of careers in electronic engineering whilst providing the theoretical knowledge and practical skills that underpin studies at higher education level; the course contains a core of analytical methods and engineering science; there is an emphasis on study skills and problem solving which allows flexible and creative learning of the principles involved in technology through investigation, experience and team work; an introduction to communications enables a wide ranging exploration of the engineering environment through the written, oral and pictorial medium, which provides an introduction to the context of technology in society and the development of information technology skills.

Расположение

Город Престон является культурной столицей графства Ланкашир и связан с остальными частями страны отличной системой автодорожного, железнодорожного и авиасообщения. Университет расположен в 10 минутах ходьбы от главной железнодорожной станции. Дорога на поезде от Престона до Манчестера занимает 45 минут, до Лондона – 2 часа 15 минут, а до Ливерпуля – 1 час. До аэропортов Манчестера, Ливерпуля и Блэкпула также легко добраться.
