Since students have to communicate with people from various cultures, their main goal is to prevent or minimise, as much as possible, cultural misunderstandings; these misunderstandings can affect the smooth running of a company and business transactions; the modules in the programme train participants to link theories related to various aspects of intercultural communication to practice.

Вступительные требования

Lower 2nd Class Honours degree in arts, social science or business related disciplines from a recognised university; applicants with non-standard qualifications who are able to demonstrate appropriate work experience or other professional qualifications are accepted; interviews may be required; IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 600/250 with TWE 4.5 for those whose 1st language is not English.

Расположение

Город Престон является культурной столицей графства Ланкашир и связан с остальными частями страны отличной системой автодорожного, железнодорожного и авиасообщения. Университет расположен в 10 минутах ходьбы от главной железнодорожной станции. Дорога на поезде от Престона до Манчестера занимает 45 минут, до Лондона – 2 часа 15 минут, а до Ливерпуля – 1 час. До аэропортов Манчестера, Ливерпуля и Блэкпула также легко добраться.
